On April 12, 2022, a mass shooting occurred on a packed subway train in Brooklyn during the morning rush, injuring almost two dozen individuals, five of whom were critical. Thankfully, no one has died.
Police quickly honed in on a suspect: Frank R. James who is 62 years old. He was turned in and arrested.
The events surrounding the arrest of James, however, defy comprehension. There needed to be a look into the details to try and understand why this man was arrested.
James is a hobbling 6’0, 280-pound very large man. Unless James confesses to the alleged crime, his defense team seems to be having a field day with the jury on identification. The perp was 5’5 and 170 pounds, according to the BOLO.
James’ sister, Catherine James Robinson, reported him as being over six feet tall and weighing 300 pounds.
According to a New York Times article, “She said the last time she had spoken to her brother on the phone was after the death of their younger sister, Barbara Jean Grey, from a heart attack several years prior. And she said that Mr. James did not fit the description the police had released on Tuesday about the suspect: a man about 5 feet 5 inches, and heavyset. She said her brother was over six feet tall and about 300 pounds, and that he had a bad back.”
Police quickly identified this man since he had neatly left his credit card AND phone, they identified as breadcrumbs, near the scene. They said James hired a truck under his name and then abandoned it. They also claim he left his REGISTERED gun behind.
Although James lawfully acquired his handgun in 2011, according to authorities, he was on the terrorist watch list until 2019.
After a day on the lamb, James was captured without incident. He was seen hanging around at McDonalds in broad daylight. However, only after dining at Katz Deli.
Authorities first stated that he contacted Crime Stoppers with a tip about himself, which led to his arrest. It has now been announced that he may have done it with five additional persons, who are getting awards for their calls to authorities.
Then the police inform us that the MTA surveillance cameras weren’t working at the subway station that was shot up. The MTA is now saying that a malfunctioning fan caused the MTA’s surveillance cameras at a Brooklyn subway station to fail the day before James opened fire on commuters, and that they were being worked on. In fact, its been noted that approximately 10,000 cameras in the New York subway system worked that day, except for the 3 at the 36th Street Station.
Here’s CCTV footage that shows the stout James, dressed and booted, struggling with the turn styles at another subway entrance at 6:15 a.m., a full 2.5 hours before he opened fire on people at the 36th Street station.

Here is James walking slowly toward the metro station while holding a backpack and baggage. Why did he need and then abandon a rental truck?
FRANK JAMES seen before the subway attack, on his WAY to the Train. He really WADDLES. I can't quite picture this guy "Making a Run For It" if you know what I mean. WHERE THE HELL IS HE? pic.twitter.com/1HZd4ADhDb

I imagine that James is a suspect mainly because he posted manifesto-style social and racial agitation on social media. He has an unfiltered YouTube channel full with irrational threats.

Despite the hazy information and repeated claims the day before that James was just a “person of interest,” Mayor Adams exclaimed, “We got him!”

Although James directed his rage mostly towards white people, the claimed victims of his assault were predominantly lower- and middle-class Asians, Hispanics, blacks, and mixed-race people, as shown here. The number of casualties was first estimated to be 10, then 16, and now at least 29. What is the woman in maroon doing to the floor at 47 seconds?

I have no doubt that James will be prosecuted and sent to jail for many many years, but from the very beginning, I found things did not make sense. I am a staunch believer in law and order, and am appalled by violence, but I also am aware that more than a few people have been railroaded into a deal.
I’m also aware that the police all over the country have had a very hard time dealing with an obvious bias against black suspects, killing them for things while a white person would have been safely transferred to jail…one with a stop at a hamburger joint. The FBI has clearly identified a deliberate infusion of white supremacists into police forces all over the nation.
I am waiting to see what the law does to him. Meanwhile, explain this to me like I’m in kindergarten.
